This quote implies that you need these two intelligence and character in order to have a good education and be successful in life. For example you need intelligence to graduate high school and maybe even college. You need it so that you can make the right choices throughout your years. Without intelligence you will get nowhere in life because you will not know anything.You aslo need a character to succed in life. When having character you care about others and their opinions. When having a job when you finish school you might need to socialize or assist people. In order for them to hire you need to have grace among their eyes.They need to see that you have a good character in order to interact with clients or people you or they are assisting.To add, you need these two things because you need to be friendly so you have a good character and intelligent so you can help people with any problems they have.
