Licensed Practical Nurse

A licensed practical nurse is a nurse that works in the U.S and in most of the Canadian provinces.In some parts of the U.S they refer to them as a licensed vocational nurse.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Their job is to help people that are disabled, sick, injured, or convalescent. They do anything a nurse wood do check blood pressure, bathing patients or dressing, and having the patients in comfort.

Salary:

  • $42,400 U.S  

  • $43,170 U.D

Education:

You need to get a degree, diploma, or certificate, take an approved education program, pass the NCLEX-PN exam, and look for a professional certification.


Demand or need for this profession:

You must take any of these courses anatomy,and physiology, medical terminology, nursing care of the adult or child, nutrition, pharmacology, or either phycology. If you don’t pass the exam you must take it 45-90 days after you took the test you did not pass.


Reflection:

I think i would not like to be a licensed practical nurse because i am not that good at helping others get dressed or do anything they usually do to get ready.I think it would be pretty nice to help others but this is not something i would look forward to doing for a career.
